America ' s Cup NautaTec - Over two decades competing in the America's Cup NautaTec through its personnel has been involved with America's Cup Syndicates for over 20 years. NautaTec has been taking part in last 6 editions of the America's Cup, at 1992 in the Spanish syndicate "Desafío Español Copa América", at 1996 in the Spanish syndicate "Copa América Desafío Español 1995", at 2000 in the Spanish syndicate "Copa América Desafío Español", at 2003 and 2007 in twice winner Swiss syndicate "Alinghi" and at 2010 in current winner BMW Oracle Racing Team. At this time this involvement continues in BOR Defender for the next 34th Between 1996 and 2000 for "Bravo España" our personnel was coordinating design and research with special dedication and responsibilities in hull and appendages design as well as analysis tools (VPP developed by NautaTec) and FEM research. Between 1994 and 1995 for "Rioja de España" our personnel was responsible for the design of hull and appendages, as well as collaborating in the design of structures, in addition to tank and wind tunnel tests planning and coordination, providing additional technical support in San Diego. Between 1990 and 1992 for "España 92 V Centenario" our personnel was involved in the Design Team in a number of areas (appendages, masts, etc...) , providing additional technical support in Between 2000 and 2007 our personnel has been working with the Swiss syndicate "Alinghi", 31st and 32nd America's Cup Winner, with the presence of Manolo Ruiz de Elvira performing general design tasks, specially hull and appendages, tanks tests, CFD analysis and mainly performance prediction. The VPP tool used was PAP, developed by NautaTec. Between 2007 and 2010 our personnel has been working with BMW Oracle Racing Team, 33rd America's Cup Winner, with the presence of Manolo Ruiz de Elvira as design team member, one's principal monohull designers, and team leader's tank testing.
Again between 2010 and 2013 our personnel has been working with Oracle Team USA, 34th America's Cup Winner and successful Defender, with the presence of Manolo Ruiz de Elvira as Design Executive and Hull Designer. |
